Within the research project ELSA: "Experiences and life situations of unintentionally pregnant women. Offers of counseling and care ", six universities are involved, which work on different questions.
The ELSA research network consists of the University of Applied Sciences Fulda, the Social Science Research Institute on Gender FIVE Freiburg (SoFFI F.), Merseburg University of Applied Sciences, Freie Universität Berlin, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Ulm.
Based on the decision of the German Federal parliament, the project network is funded for three years by the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG). The objective of the study is to collect data on the provision of psychosocial and medical care for unintentionally pregnant women in Germany to provide basis recommendations for health policy practice and starting points for improvements in care.
