The research project ELSA: "Experiences and life situations of unintentionally pregnant women. Offers of counseling and care ", six universities are involved, which work on different questions.
The ELSA research network consists of the Social Science Research Institute on Gender FIVE Freiburg (SoFFI F.), Merseburg University of Applied Sciences, Freie Universität Berlin, Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, and the University of Ulm. The project is managed by the University of Applied Sciences Fulda.
The project network is funded for three years by the Federal Ministry of Health (BMG) on the basis of a decision by the German Bundestag. The objective of the study is to collect data on the psychosocial and medical care situation of unintentionally pregnant women in Germany in order to provide a basis for recommendations for health policy practice and starting points for improvements in care.
